Gateway Foundation is a Mumbai-based NGO supporting children, youth and adults who need a helping hand. We use sport to connect with people, nurture confidence and life skills, and open pathways to opportunity, wellbeing and independence.
Our work begins with access: helping underprivileged children take part in sports for free and supporting their journey. For those exploring their next step, coaching, event organisation, volunteering and paid work opportunities offer ways to gain experience, earn and grow towards independence. We also support organisations with games and fun activities for people who have never had that exposure — creating space for connection, enjoyment and belonging.

My journey in sport, from playing to coaching and building GIFA Sports, has taught me lessons that reach far beyond the field. Teamwork, discipline, resilience and responsibility have shaped how I work and support others. I believe sport is a wider learning opportunity for life—a place to discover confidence, build friendships and find a sense of purpose. Through Gateway Foundation, my aim is to support every child who wishes to explore sports, especially those held back by a lack of opportunity. I also want to help youth and adults develop their skills, access meaningful opportunities and move towards independence. For me, opening a door through sport can be the beginning of a brighter future.
